The Rights

This is story about personal view by professional level. Myself met someone that seeing something at different angle. The issue is between employees and employer and It is all about the rights and the unfair practices of giving award to employees. It is specifically on performance bonus. Union is represent employees of non exec level. Our talk on this issue really went deep and I post it here for sharing and knowledge purposes. Myself and him are from one big company but what make us different is only rank and experiences. Our view of angle are different, what he spoke is unmatched with mine. The highlighted issue is about the day of picketing for unfair labour practise. The said, there is no breach of Contract between employee and employer. So, there is no adequate reason to point the blamed to the employer. He had the same experienced on this issue a long time ago when he was a member, he used to be like me who fighting and demanding for the fairness but now he is standing on the other side. Talkative as compatible as the level he is. His responds on this matter is adverse. Based on him, the union claim are ridiculous. Why should an employees put a pressure on the company about this nonsense issue eventhough there are already a lot of benefits has been given. This is something unhealthy culture in the industry, he added and regards to his past time in order to get me motivated. Why these day, all the eldest always like to compared a current situation and past. A lot of different in economical issues compare to the previous years. Last time in Malaysia is not same as today in Malaysia. He is absolutely not really understanding the bottom level yet because the benefits he get until today as 2nd highest rank is too much as it could blind his eyes to see something from other angles. The professional level like him is still unable to retrieve both side angles for the better view before make a statement. His said is totally unfair as he is depends on one source only. The main issue has been highlighted since last year and yet he made a statement that the company believe picketing is related to the formation of in house union which it just raising early of this year. When the picketing was about against formation of new union, the picketing will turn to illegal. That was his point to pull me from joining the picket. These all are the things i heard straight to my ears. I believe this is to provoke me to against my existing thought. I didn't say anything and yet i recorded every single words he shared with me. It is clearly the professional level like him has a lot of opinions that based on one source only. The question that points to me indirectly is Should i agree for the demand of 80 months bonus based on back dated calculation since year 2000, if i am not mistaken. Is it too ridiculous? For me, it is possible and this is the serious issue, the 80 months not the deals, the real deal is the fair labour practise in general. Why gap of awards given was too much?
